Provide leadership to the nonprofit sector through research, knowledge creation and knowledge sharing
- Create focused collaborative research and engagement networks
- Foster, guide, and, in some cases, directly implement research projects
- Increase sharing of research findings through website and other means
Integrate activities in research, education, and engagement to enhance analysis and innovative problem-solving for the nonprofit sector
- Produce data-intensive teaching cases featuring North Carolina nonprofits
- Grow educational initiatives to address student and employer needs
- Convene community, faculty, and students to examine issues and practices
Ensure a sustainable organization with efficient and effective management of human and financial capital
- Develop an external advisory board representing all sectors
- Use existing internal advisory group to connect to more units on campus
- Leverage staff and affiliated faculty for projects and capacity-building
- Implement development plan aligned with vision and stewardship capacity
