Nonprofit Gaming: An Indiana Bingo Case Study. Richard Clerkin, Department of Public Administration, Principal Investigator

Building on earlier analyses (Paarlberg, L., Nesbit, B., Clerkin, R., & Christensen R. (2005) “Charitable Bingo in Indiana: Issues and Implications.” Nonprofit Management and Leadership 15 (4) 433-488, this project seeks to understand the causal linkage between density of charitable bingo operations and proximity to a casino on bingo revenues and profitability.  With Institute support, the project is gathering data through telephone interviews of current and former charitable bingo providers in Indiana with the intention of repeat interviews over five years.
