Institute for Nonprofits: Connecting Students and Nonprofits

Student Internship/Volunteer Opportunities Listings
The Institute frequently posts internship and volunteer opportunities throughout North Carolina. For help in making connections with nonprofit organizations, contact Emily Daniels, coordinator of the nonprofit minor, at nonprofitminor@gw.fis.ncsu.edu.

We highly recommend that students utilize the University's Career Center website: http://ncsu.edu/career/students/index.php. The career center uses ePACK's searchable system. This information is updated regularly and has a large, organized listing of business, government , and nonprofit job postings seeking interns, employees, and volunteers.

Using UCC's ePACK System for Students

A full video tutorial and written guide on ePACK can be accessed here. To view UCC's internships and jobs, login into the ePACK system with your UNITY ID and ePACK password. If you are a new user, you will have to request a password. Click "Forgot your password?" and enter your UNITY ID. An email will be sent to your NCSU webmail account with a new password and instructions on how to login (Please note: arrival of the email may take several minutes).

Create ePACK Profile
Once logged in, click "My Account." Edit your personal, demographic, and additional information. Do not forget to edit your password to something that you will remember.

Begin Intern/Job Search
Here you may narrow your search by indicating internships in "Position Type" in the "Job Advanced Search" section. When a post interests you, follow the instructions on submission of resume and cover letter. You may have to contact the organization directly by email, mail, or fax. Good luck!
