Internship Description:

Chartered in 1960 the North Carolina National Guard Association (NCNGA) is a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation. The mission of the NCNGA is to garner support for the North Carolina National Guard’s role in state and national security while improving the quality of life for its nearly 14,000 members. The NCNGA does this through legisltative activities, offering various benefits to its members, and promoting the activities of the NCNG and its members to community stakeholders. 

Job Summary - Under the supervision of a member of the NCNGA Staff, the intern will provide assistance and development to NCNGA programs and administrative functions. Specific duties will be discussed during interviews but may include the following: interacting with NCNGA key stakeholders including participants and their family members, community partners, donors, board and committee members and staff, planning events, general support to financial, HR, operations and marketing operations.

Location - 7410 Chapel Hill Road, Raleigh, NC

Supervisor – Executive Director

Responsibilities - Ability to to provide high quality services to NCNGA internal and NCNGA customers including volunteers and participants, partner organization, donors, and the public at large. Entrepreneurial spirit with a motivation to gain an understanding of all aspects required for an organizations success. Some college coursework or commiserate professional experience. Basic computer processing skills including MS Office.

Hours and days - 4-8 hours per week during normal office hours (9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday)
