Safe Families for Children
Raleigh, North Carolina

Internship Description:

We are seeking an Intern with interest in working with a Christian non-profit which leverages local church volunteers to provide hosting of children in vetted homes and also informal, relational supports to families in crisis, all aimed at family preservation and child abuse prevention.

This intern will possibly assist both the Director and Family Coach/Intake staff with administrative work such as volunteer database management and communications/marketing. Responsibilities may shift throughout the internship depending on needs of organization and community. Depending on the skills and maturity of the intern, he/she may also be invited to make public presentations about our organization, assist with Intake Calls, and network with other community programs as we broaden our base of referral partners.

The intern will receive training in Strengthening Families and Protective Factors, seeing first-hand the difference that social support and concrete can help make in the life of a family in crisis.
