Family Resource Center South Atlantic is a 501(c)3 non profit located in Raleigh, NC. The agency was established in 1995 with the mission “to help families acquire the social and economic skills to become self sufficient”. We currenty provide 8 programs focusing on early childhood education, fatherhood, bullying, reentry, parenting skills building, health information and support and sexual risk avoidance among youth. We currently serve 15 counties throughout the Triangle and Eastern Carolina.
The Special Projects and Research Intern will work directly with the Executive Director and the leadership team in conducting research, planning and outreach to create special projects, i.e Census Collection, Fatherhood Conference, etc. and identify emerging issues throughout North Carolina to assist in the development of a 18 month strategic plan for agency implementation. The internship will be located at the agency’s office located at 3825 Barrett Drive (Off Six Forks Rd), Raleigh, NC 27609.
The candidate must have a valid North Carolina Driver’s License, pass a background check and be able to work independently. Preference given to Master’s level students in Department/School of Public Administration, Sociology, or Public Health.
