Gay For Good, the national LGBTQ volunteer service organization that energizes and mobilizes the LGBTQ community to interact with the greater community through volunteer service, is seeking a part-time intern. The Social Media & Marketing Intern will report remotely to the National Director (located in the Long Beach / Los Angeles CA area) to perform a variety of tasks aimed at showcasing the organization’s impact, increase visibility and growing its volunteer programs, while providing a valuable learning and networking opportunity. Gay For Good has a local chapter and Board member in Raleigh-Durham NC which will support the intern.


Responsibilities & Duties

  • Create and share social media content

  • Design digital and print collateral

  • Work to increase social media presence and web traffic

  • Maintain library of digital assets

  • Develop social media calendar

  • Compile media contact lists

  • Special projects as assigned


Requirements & Qualifications

Ability to commit to 5-15 hours per week (schedule is flexible)

Use of personal laptop computer

Critical thinking and research skills

Punctual and accountable

Self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented





Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) a plus

Enthusiasm for the mission
